The Stahls' Cap Heat Press Platen 3" x 5.75" is a specialty platen designed for heat printing caps and other compatible headwear. Its 3" x 5.75" pressing area provides a compact working surface for positioning heat-applied graphics on the front panel of a cap.
Designed for use with compatible Stahls' Hotronix® cap heat press equipment, the platen helps support the cap during application so decorators can achieve consistent pressure across the transfer area. The curved pressing surface is designed to follow the shape of the cap, helping keep the decoration area properly positioned against the platen during pressing.
The platen is well suited for applying heat transfer vinyl, screen printed transfers, DTF transfers, patches, emblems, and other compatible heat-applied graphics, depending on the application requirements of the transfer material and garment.
Its 3" x 5.75" size makes it a useful option for standard cap-decoration applications where a controlled pressing area is needed for logos, lettering, patches, and other front-panel graphics.

- Make sure the platen is properly installed and secured before beginning production.
- Position the cap so the decoration area lies smoothly and evenly across the curved platen.
- Verify that the intended graphic fits comfortably within the 3" x 5.75" pressing area.
- Remove or reposition the sweatband when necessary to reduce seams and uneven pressure in the pressing area.
- Keep seams, buttons, stitching, and other raised areas outside the primary transfer area whenever possible.
- Adjust heat press pressure as needed after installing the platen to achieve proper transfer contact.
- Use the time, temperature, pressure, and peel settings recommended by the transfer-material manufacturer.
- Test the application on a sample cap when working with a new cap style, fabric, or transfer material.
- For specialty items such as collars, cuffs, socks, or umbrellas, position seams and other obstructions away from the primary pressing area whenever possible.
